PCE Instruments PCE-MOV 500 is a high-temperature muffle furnace engineered for demanding thermal processes in laboratories, research and industry. With a maximum temperature of 1700 °C, it is suitable for sintering ceramics, annealing, heat treatment of metals and advanced materials testing at elevated temperatures.

State-of-the-art molybdenum disilicide (MoSi₂) heating elements provide high performance and stability at extreme temperatures, while the ceramic fibre insulation reduces heat loss for improved energy efficiency and helps maintain uniform temperature distribution within the chamber.

Temperature is controlled digitally via a PID system with freely programmable profiles: up to 30 steps can be set for ramp, soak and cooling stages, ensuring repeatable cycles for sensitive processes. The robust powder-coated steel housing offers corrosion protection and long service life in daily use.

Integrated safety functions such as a door safety switch, over-temperature protection and audible alarms ensure reliable operation even during long programs.
