Nuova PTM meccanica S.r.l. has solid experience as a manufacturer of rotating or fixed tailstocks for all types of loads and speeds, frontal drive systems for grinding and turning with various models. Production has also been oriented towards the construction of special equipment typically used for clamping and for dragging, pins for play recovery, expansion collets and construction and precision machining for handling or manipulating workpieces for machine tools.

The new PTM manufactures fixed tailstocks, rotary tailstocks and face drivers for turning and grinding that guarantee high precision and reliability. The new PTM therefore offers a complete range for every machining requirement. Thanks to the construction characteristics and materials used, each product in this section can guarantee high precision under all working conditions. Each model is the result of experience and direct testing in its respective field of application.

Tailstocks and tailstocks for turning operations have suitable dimensions to increase their service life and a construction system that eliminates any infiltration of coolant. The range includes tailstocks for medium loads, high loads and variable axial loads. The construction features compact bodies and large bearings. All models are assembled with the new WPS (Water Protection System), which excludes the ingress of dust and liquids. The new PTM is aimed at production workshops, tool shops, industries, machine tool builders, gear manufacturers, etc.

The range also includes rotary tailstocks and grinding drills that bring the tool carriage closer to the workpiece, with the advantage of not having an overhanging tool, and high-speed tailstocks suitable for high-precision work.

Fixed steel tailstocks, with cusps and inserts are made from the best materials on the market. Fully hardened to achieve the best compromise between toughness and surface hardness. Ground fixed tailstock models with tolerances that allow an eccentricity of no more than 0.002 mm. Carbide-tipped tailstocks are welded with the most modern induction machines.
