ER collet chucks with cylindrical shanks are made of high-quality hardened and ground steel. The grinding of the shank diameter ensures perfect cylindricity and roundness of the gripping surface. Clamping of the ER collet on the tool shank must be done with a torque spanner and the Nm recommended by ER collet manufacturers. The collets have a wide range of choice according to diameter and length of the cylindrical shank. ER collet chucks are made for ER8, ER11, ER16, ER20, ER25, ER32, ER40 collets. The chuck with cylindrical shank for ER collet is also chosen on the basis of the ferrule, which can be MINI (if we have space problems), STANDARD ferrule, HEXAGONAL ferrule with use of a fixed fork spanner. There are also chuck versions with a cylindrical shank for ER collet on both sides, usually used on cnc lathes for front and rear machining of the workpiece (in recovery)
