Vices are clamping devices used in workshops and metalworking activities. These vices are designed to securely hold pieces during machining, benchwork, fitting operations, welding, or other operations.

Pneumatic vices are used for clamping workpieces on production machines such as machining centres, transfer machines, drills and for the assembly of various parts. The workpiece is clamped by means of an interchangeable gripper housed inside the device; the advantage over other clamping systems is the perfect centring of the workpiece. The characteristics of the vice make it suitable both for single use on traditional machines and for use in series on machining centres. Modular pneumatic vices for compression collets type 140E, 173E, 161E, 787E, 788E are available. They are designed with a double-acting pneumatic system with toggle power multiplier which allows a high clamping force on the workpiece despite the overall dimensions being much smaller than standard pneumatic vices.
