Platform scale
A platform scale is a weighing instrument designed to accurately and reliably measure the weight of large objects and loads. It is primarily used in industrial, commercial, and logistical settings, making it ideal for weighing pallets, sacks, packages, and other bulky materials that cannot be weighed on smaller scales. The platform scale consists of a flat and sturdy base where the item to be weighed is placed, and a system of sensors or load cells that measure the weight and provide an accurate reading through a digital or analog display. This type of scale is highly versatile and can be used in warehouses, distribution centers, workshops, and manufacturing facilities. There are various types of platform scales, including mechanical models with analog indicators and electronic models with advanced digital displays. Some electronic models may feature functions such as tare, data storage, and connectivity to computer systems for weight management and analysis.
