It does not measure heights, dimensions, transmission play or geometric errors, but it allows the operator to control material deposition through trigger control, distance from the surface, movement speed and overlap of the passes. For a professional result, the gun should be kept perpendicular to the surface, excessive arcing movements should be avoided, the movement should start before pulling the trigger and the trigger should be released before stopping the pass.

After each use, the spray gun, filter and circuit must be cleaned with a detergent compatible with the coating material used. Dried residues inside the gun can affect sealing, block material passage, damage the filter or alter the spray fan shape.
