PCE Instruments PCE-WSAC 50-310 Anemometer for measuring wind from the slightest movements of the wind
(Incl. Tax: €532.41)
The PCE-WSAC 50-310 Anemometer is designed for measuring wind speed with precision, even at minimal air movements. This portable device features a reliable sensor that provides accurate readings in various units, making it suitable for both professional and personal applications. With a clear display, user-friendly interface, and durable construction, the anemometer is ideal for meteorological studies, outdoor activities, and HVAC testing. It can capture real-time data and store measurements for later analysis, ensuring that users can monitor wind conditions effectively in any environment.
The anemometer with pre-alarm and alarm function is a precision instrument designed for continuous and reliable monitoring of wind speed, making it ideal for industrial applications where safety and process control are essential. The device can detect wind speeds starting from the slightest movements, providing real-time display of the current value as well as the average wind speed over the last two or five minutes. This dual measurement mode allows operators to evaluate both the immediate condition and the short-term wind trend, which is critical for accurate risk management.

The system features two alarm levels. When wind speed exceeds a preset threshold, the anemometer triggers a pre-alarm indicated by a flashing yellow LED and an intermittent acoustic signal. If the wind continues to increase beyond the configured safety limit, the main alarm is activated, signaled by a flashing red LED and a continuous acoustic warning. This sequence of visual and audible alerts ensures a timely and proportional response to the level of risk, protecting personnel, equipment, and structures.
With the option of connecting external relays, the anemometer can be easily integrated into industrial control and automation systems, expanding its operational capabilities. Powered by 24 V DC, it operates with a standard 4…20 mA input signal, includes two built-in alarm relays, and features an integrated acoustic indicator. Sensor power is supplied via the evaluation unit, ensuring stable and reliable long-term performance.
The anemometer is widely used wherever constant wind monitoring is required. Typical applications include factories, mines, wind turbines, industrial plants, and production environments where changes in wind speed may affect safety or process efficiency. In addition to its ability to detect very low wind speeds, the device is characterized by high accuracy and robustness, making it an essential tool for reliable and continuous monitoring of environmental conditions.
