The balance determines the moisture content of a sample in a range between 0 100%, simply place the sample and spread it evenly on the saucer. Once the drying parameters have been set, the balance starts measuring. The accuracy of the balance is ±0.003 g and the moisture content is determined by the difference in weight of the sample before and after the drying phase. The temperature range is from 40 to 165 ºC, using a 90 mm diameter halogen lamp as the heating system. This allows a drying temperature to be set for each sample.
