The induction motor is the motor par excellence, the most classic motor on the market for many years. It is a motor that has no secrets except in the materials chosen for its construction. It is recommended for all industrial and intensive use exceeding 2/3 hours of cutting per day. It develops a fixed, constant number of revolutions (approx. 3000 rpm-1) and requires a gearbox to provide all the necessary torque. Once the maximum operating temperature is reached, approx. 45° C (i.e. if operating in a 30° C environment the motor will reach 75° C), the temperature will stabilise. This is why the outer casing of induction motors is usually made of aluminium with transverse fins to better dissipate heat. It is available with one or two speeds, and is the ideal motor for intensive use.
