The PROXXON DS 460 scroll saw is designed for precise cutting and clean finishing, with a rigid structure aimed at stable, low-vibration operation. The machine base is made of precision-ground cast iron with epoxy powder coating to reduce vibration and ensure a stable footprint. The 205 W induction motor provides two speeds with 900 or 1,400 strokes/min, allowing the cutting action to be matched to different materials and blade types.

A 460 mm throat depth supports larger workpieces. The 400 × 250 mm die-cast aluminium table is designed for bevel cutting, tilting from -5° to +50°. Blade stroke is 18 mm and maximum cutting height is 65 mm (with table tilted at 45° max 32 mm). To keep the cutting line clear, the DS 460 features an adjustable air blower and a dust extraction port. Blade tension is set via the top knob for controlled, sensitive adjustment.

Cutting capacity: wood up to 60 mm and non-ferrous metals 10–15 mm (depending on type). Also suitable for plexiglass, fiberglass, foam, rubber, leather and cork. Supplied with 5 coarse and 5 fine blades. Machine size 580 × 320 × 300 mm, weight approx. 20 kg.

Innovative solution (patented): To enable easy saw blade replacement, the horizontally positioned table can be unlocked and pushed back by 80mm. For an unobstructed view of the bottom saw arm when fitting the saw blade holders or pin end blades.

Patented saw blade holders with high clamping force ensure true alignment of the saw blades. Recesses in the table surface serve as guide line in assembly to define position and distance of the saw blade holders.

Table angle adjustment possible from -5° to 50°. With large dimensioned serrations at 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° and 45°. Additional fine adjustment for precise mitre and angle cuts.
