The PD 400 precision lathe is a machine tool designed for high-accuracy machining of metallic and technical materials, intended for professional workshops, laboratories, and advanced applications. Aluminium handwheels feature zero-adjustable graduated dials, with resolutions down to 0.025 mm, providing accurate movement control. A rack-and-pinion system allows rapid carriage movement, improving efficiency.

The tailstock features a 24 mm diameter quill with up to 40 mm travel, MK2 taper, and graduated scale for precise adjustments, supporting operations between centers.

The drive system consists of a capacitor motor with dual speed and a three-stage belt transmission, providing a wide spindle speed range suitable for both heavy machining and finishing operations.

With a center distance of 400 mm and center height of 85 mm, the PD 400 supports a wide range of turning operations including longitudinal turning, facing, taper turning, and threading.
