The HSK-A shank Power Milling chucks are made of hardened and ground high-grade steel, have an unbalance error of G6.3 and can reach a maximum speed of 15-18,000 rpm of the machine tool spindle. It should be noted that the unbalance force at high spindle speeds must be within 1% of the axial load of the precision bearings mounted in the machine tool spindle for proper operation. The shank HSK-A is used for mounting with automatic tool change on machine tools, especially for machining and milling centres. The longitudinal cuts all along seat of tool increase clamping force but do not allow total sealing. Spindle spanner included.

HSK Taper Chucks for High-Grip Collets with Internal High-Pressure Coolant Supply.
These HSK taper chucks are designed to clamp the shank of the tool, such as end mills or twist drills, with exceptional rigidity. Balanced to class G6.5, they can reach a maximum rotation speed of 18,000 RPM, ensuring stability even at high speeds.
Tool clamping is performed mechanically by tightening a nut that compresses a 4SR collet.
The nut locking system is extremely simple and safe, as it only requires full closure at the end of its stroke. The 4SR collets are suitable for clamping shanks with a maximum diameter variation of 0.1 mm, ensuring a precise and secure coupling.

The chuck is also equipped with circular channels that allow the coolant to exit along the cylindrical part of the shank, improving cooling and effectively removing chips from the cutting edges, with pressure up to 120 bar. Alternatively, for blind-hole machining inside the workpiece, a sealing disk can be installed to enable coolant flow through the tool or cutter, if it is pre-configured for internal cooling. During the tool clamping phase, it is essential to clamp the shank along the entire contact length of the collet, to ensure stability, safety, and consistent performance.
The high clamping rigidity and run-out precision of 0.005 mm make this chuck ideal for heavy-duty roughing operations, capable of removing a high volume of material.
In other cases, thanks to its rigidity, it can also be used for finishing operations on hard-to-machine materials.
