The PCE Instruments PCE-CIC 20 is a LED colour inspection light booth for printing, publishing and advertising agencies, wherever colour consistency matters. It provides 3 light types (D75, D65, D50) to check colour matching and reveal differences under changing illumination. It offers horizontal and vertical viewing, a large working area, an hour counter for each light with reset, and the option to use single or mixed light sources. Mobile design with braked castors.
The PCE-CIC 20 light booth is an essential device for anyone who needs fast, repeatable colour evaluation of prints and objects. In printing and publishing, as well as in advertising agencies, it allows immediate checking of print results, colour matching and potential colour shifts that appear when lighting changes. In practice, a colour can look correct under one light source and appear different under another, or when the viewing angle changes; this illumination- and position-dependent effect is what is meant by metamerism, and it is a common cause of disputes and rework.
The light source positioning ensures proper illumination of both the work table and the rear panel, enabling horizontal and vertical observation. The three illuminants D75, D65 and D50 can be used individually or in combination. To manage lamp usage, the booth includes an operating-hour counter per light type with reset. LED technology provides long life and stable performance, the interior is finished in neutral grey N5, and the booth can be moved easily thanks to four castors with brakes.
