The OPTIMUM / Optigrind GB 305D disc sander is a bench machine designed for roughing, finishing and contour grinding on metal workpieces and materials compatible with disc sanding. The 1.1 kW motor with 400 V three-phase power supply and 1450 min⁻¹ speed provides stable operation in sanding and finishing applications. The balanced rotor with quality ball bearings contributes to long service life and smooth disc rotation. The heavy machine body improves stability during use, reducing unwanted movement and supporting more controlled contact between the workpiece and the abrasive.

The 50 mm extraction port allows connection to an external extraction system to remove dust and machining residues from the contact area. Proper extraction helps keep the working area cleaner, improves visibility on the workpiece and reduces residue accumulation on the machine. This feature is particularly useful for continuous workshop use or when several finishing operations are carried out in sequence.

In practical use, the workpiece should always be firmly supported on the work table and brought to the disc with controlled pressure. The sanding sheet should be selected according to the desired result: coarser grits for roughing and rapid material removal, finer grits for finishing, blending and surface preparation. Smooth feed and moderate pressure help reduce overheating, excessive abrasive wear and irregularities on the machined surface.
