The OMCN SL/30 foldable hydraulic workshop crane is a high-capacity professional lifting device designed for controlled lifting, handling and positioning of loads up to 3000 kg. The SL/30 model is a robust solution for operations that require high lifting capacity and a structure designed for demanding loads. The extendable boom has four working positions, allowing the reach to be adapted to the operation. Lifting capacity varies according to the selected position: 3000 kg in the shortest position, then 2400 kg, 1850 kg and 1300 kg in the extended positions. This value must always be considered before use, because increasing the distance between the lifting point and the crane column reduces the effective lifting capacity.

Euro Pallet compatibility is a practical advantage in workshops and production departments, as it allows easier access to loads placed on standard pallets and improves loading, unloading, internal handling, shipment preparation and positioning on workstations. This feature is particularly useful when heavy parts are already placed on pallets, but it must always be combined with checks on load stability, manoeuvring space and floor strength.

The construction layout highlights a ground and chrome-plated ram, designed to ensure long-term reliability and smooth movement during lifting and lowering. The two-speed hydraulic pump allows a faster approach phase and a more controlled lifting phase once the load is engaged. A practical recommendation is to always use the minimum reach required for the operation, keeping the load as close as possible to the crane structure. This reduces mechanical stress, limits swinging and improves safety.

The 360° swivel hook makes it easier to orient the load during hooking, lifting and positioning. This function is very useful when handling industrial engines, moulds, reducers, pumps, gearboxes, equipment or mechanical assemblies with lifting points that are not perfectly aligned. The hook must always work correctly in tension and must not be subjected to side loads, abnormal twisting or sudden shocks. For safe operation, suitable lifting accessories must be used, such as chains, slings, eye bolts, shackles, lifting beams, spreader bars, specific hooks or gripping systems sized according to the weight and geometry of the component.

The built-in overload protection valve contributes to operational safety, but it does not replace the operator’s technical assessment. Before every lifting operation, it is advisable to check that the pins are correctly inserted, the load is balanced, the accessories are undamaged, the floor is flat and strong enough and the handling path is free from obstacles. The crane must be used for lifting and positioning, not for pulling the load sideways.

The rear swivel wheels improve manoeuvrability, while the polyurethane wheels are suitable for appropriate industrial floors and help provide smoother handling even with heavy loads. During movement, the load must remain low, stable and as close as possible to the structure. A practical tip used by experienced fitters is to lift the component only enough to clear the support, move it slowly and stop immediately if the load begins to swing, rotate or tilt. If swinging occurs, it is better to lower the part again and correct the lifting point.
