The OMCN 164/WS two-speed electric hydraulic press is a workshop machine designed for pressing, extraction, straightening and controlled assembly of mechanical components. The internal constructive layout includes a special treated and chrome-plated steel cylinder ram, a motorised two-speed power unit with automatic engagement, a 3-position lever-operated distributor and a calibration valve for adjusting the power according to the operation. This configuration allows the ram to approach the workpiece quickly and then move into the working phase with better thrust control, improving productivity and safety during pressing operations.

The adjustable-height bed makes it possible to adapt the available working area to the component and to the accessories being used. This press is suitable for straightening shafts after heat treatment and before grinding, removing or fitting bushings and bearings, separating or assembling interference-fit parts, carrying out thrust tests, preparing mechanical assemblies and working on metal components that require force applied on axis. The standard pressure gauge allows the operator to monitor force during the operation and helps prevent overloads, unwanted deformation or uncontrolled pressing.

A practical workshop recommendation is to prepare the workpiece with clean, parallel and well-centred supports in relation to the ram axis, avoiding improvised spacers or non-flat surfaces. For straightening operations, force should be applied in small increments while checking the elastic return of the material; when working with bearings and bushes, suitable sleeves, V-blocks, plates and supports should be used to distribute the load correctly. Dedicated compatible accessories are recommended to make full use of the press for assembly, disassembly and straightening tasks.
