(Incl. Tax: €1,238.67)
OMCN ART. 153 10-ton bench hydraulic press, compact and robust, ideal for assembly, disassembly, shaft straightening, removal of bushes and bearings and interference-fit operations. Equipped with two-speed hand pump, chrome-plated ram with quick return, adjustable table, pin-pushing plate and V-blocks. Dedicated accessories may be required to perform all operations correctly.
The OMCN ART. 153 bench hydraulic press is a compact 10-ton press designed for assembly, disassembly, straightening and fitting operations in professional workshops. Its welded steel frame provides stability during pressing operations and makes the machine suitable for applying controlled force to metal components, mechanical parts, bushings, bronze bushes, bearings, pins, shafts and parts assembled with interference fits.
This press is intended for technicians, maintenance engineers, fitters, automotive mechanics, body shops, precision workshops, assembly departments and companies involved in preventive or extraordinary maintenance. It allows mechanical parts to be assembled or separated in a more controlled and safer way than by using hammers, unsuitable pullers or improvised systems. It is particularly useful for installing or removing bearings, disassembling bushes, pressing pins, positioning mechanical parts and straightening shafts after heat treatment and before grinding.
The cylinder is equipped with a special steel ram, heat-treated and chrome-plated, a solution designed to improve wear resistance and smooth sliding during operation. The steel return spring inside the cylinder allows the ram to return quickly after the pressing phase, reducing operating time and making repetitive work more efficient. The two-speed hand pump allows a fast approach phase and a more precise working phase, helping the operator to dose the force applied to the piston through the hydraulic oil and manual lever control.
Force control is one of the most important aspects of correct press operation. During the approach phase, the ram can be moved quickly until it contacts the workpiece, while during the actual pressing phase it is better to proceed gradually, checking component alignment and ensuring that the load is correctly distributed. The possibility of using a pressure gauge allows the applied force to be measured and makes the process more repeatable, especially in assembly, quality control and interference-fit operations.
The height-adjustable table allows the working area to be adapted to the size of the part and the type of operation. This adjustment is essential to reduce unnecessary stroke, improve control and work more safely. The pin-pushing plate and the pair of V-blocks supplied as standard increase the range of possible applications, especially on cylindrical components, shafts, pins and parts that must be correctly supported during pressing or straightening.
When straightening shafts, especially after heat treatment and before grinding, it is important to work with progressive pressure and to check deformation frequently using dial indicators or suitable measuring instruments. A practical workshop tip used by experienced fitters and straightening specialists is not to correct the whole deviation with one single press point and one single force application. It is better to proceed with small corrections, alternating measurement, support and pressure. This reduces the risk of overcorrecting the part, creating local stress or marking the surface.
When mounting or removing bearings, bronze bushes and sleeves, the press must be used with suitable supports and correct accessories. The pressing force should always be applied to the ring or surface that is intended to receive the load, avoiding force transmission through balls, rollers or delicate areas of the component. For this reason, in addition to the standard accessories, it may be necessary to purchase dedicated sleeves, adapters, plates, supports, V-blocks or tooling according to the specific operation to be performed.
Operational safety depends on correct alignment, stable support and the right choice of accessories. The workpiece must always be centered with the ram, the table must be securely positioned and the component must not be able to slip during pressing. Before applying high loads, the operator should check that there are no inclinations, partial supports or side interference. When working with very tight fits, the force should be increased gradually and the operation should be stopped if the component does not move correctly, because excessive load on a wrong support can damage the part or make the operation unsafe.
The OMCN ART. 153 hydraulic press is therefore a flexible and professional solution for workshops that need a compact but strong machine for frequent maintenance, assembly, inspection and repair operations. Its 10-ton capacity, two-speed hand pump, quick ram return, adjustable table and standard accessories make it suitable for a wide range of industrial and craft applications. To obtain the best result, it is always advisable to evaluate the workpiece size, type of fit, support surface, required accessories and applied force control before starting the operation.
