OMCN 134 foldable hydraulic workshop crane with 1000 kg maximum capacity and extendable boom in four positions: 1000, 800, 500 and 300 kg. Ideal for lifting and positioning engines, gearboxes, mechanical assemblies and heavy workshop equipment. Equipped with two-speed hydraulic pump, 360° swivel hook, controlled lowering, overload protection valve, side tie rods and rubber and nylon wheels. Dedicated lifting accessories may be required for complete operations.

The OMCN 134 foldable hydraulic workshop crane is a professional lifting device designed for controlled lifting, handling and positioning of loads up to 1000 kg. It is suitable for mechanical workshops, automotive repair shops, body shops, maintenance departments, assembly companies and industrial environments where engines, gearboxes, gear motors, pumps, mechanical assemblies, equipment and heavy metal components must be moved more safely than with manual lifting or improvised systems.

The 134 model provides high operating flexibility thanks to its extendable boom with four working positions. The lifting capacity changes according to the selected reach: 1000 kg in the shortest position, then 800 kg, 500 kg and 300 kg in the extended positions. This is essential for correct use, because lifting capacity decreases as the boom is extended. Before each operation, the user must check the actual weight of the component, the boom position, the load centre of gravity and the distance between the lifting point and the crane column.

The construction layout specifies a ground and chrome-plated ram, a solution designed to improve reliability over time and provide smooth movement during lifting and lowering. The two-speed hydraulic pump allows a faster approach phase and a more controlled lifting phase, especially when the load has already been engaged and must be raised gradually. The controlled lowering command allows the component to be lowered precisely, reducing the risk of impact, swinging or sudden positioning on supports, pallets, trolleys or mounting seats.

The structure is equipped with side tie rods, which help increase stability during use. The rear swivel wheels improve manoeuvrability even in workshops with limited space, while the rubber and nylon wheels allow the crane to move on suitable industrial floors. During handling, the load must always remain low, stable and as close as possible to the structure. A practical tip used by experienced fitters is to lift the part only enough to clear the support and then move it slowly, avoiding swinging and sudden corrections.

The 360° swivel hook makes it easier to orient the load during hooking, lifting and positioning. This feature is particularly useful when working on engines, gearboxes, reducers, moulds, pumps or mechanical assemblies with lifting points that are not perfectly aligned. The hook must always work correctly in tension, without abnormal side loads. To ensure safety and precision, suitable lifting accessories must be used, such as chains, slings, eye bolts, lifting beams, shackles, specific hooks or gripping systems compatible with the weight and geometry of the component.

The built-in overload protection valve increases operational safety, but it does not replace the operator’s technical checks. The load must always remain within the capacity allowed by the selected boom position. Before lifting, it is advisable to check that the boom pins are correctly inserted, the floor is flat and strong enough, the load is balanced, the accessories are undamaged and the handling path is free from obstacles. A hydraulic workshop crane must be used for lifting and positioning, not for pulling the load sideways.

In the automotive sector, the OMCN 134 crane is suitable for removing and installing engines, gearboxes, axles, suspension units and heavy components. In mechanical workshops and maintenance departments, it can be used to handle gear motors, cylinders, pumps, machine tool parts, supports, guards and equipment. In assembly departments, it helps reduce physical effort and improves control when positioning heavy or bulky parts.

For correct use, it is important to avoid fast movements with a suspended load, not to exceed the capacity indicated for the selected boom position and not to use the crane on uneven or unsuitable floors. If the component tends to rotate, tilt or swing, the operator should stop the operation, lower the load again and correct the lifting point. Another useful practice is to prepare the support or assembly area in advance, reducing the time during which the load remains suspended.

The OMCN 134 foldable hydraulic workshop crane is therefore a strong and flexible solution for technicians, maintenance operators and workshops that need higher lifting capacity than more compact models. Its 1000 kg maximum capacity, adjustable boom, two-speed pump, swivel hook, controlled lowering, overload protection valve and good manoeuvrability make it suitable for a wide range of professional applications. Dedicated lifting accessories may be required to perform all operations completely and safely, depending on the component to be handled.
