The operation of this instrument is simple: the laser pointer targets the area to be measured, while the infrared sensor detects the radiation emitted by the surface, converting it into a temperature reading. The 0.1 °C resolution allows for highly detailed measurements, while the guaranteed accuracy is ±2°C or 3% of the measured value, whichever is higher.
The 8:1 measurement ratio (D) means that at a distance of 8 meters, the measured area will be 1 meter in diameter, making this instrument ideal for monitoring hard-to-reach areas or hazardous surfaces. With a fixed emission of 0.95, the thermometer is calibrated to be effective on most materials. The operation is further simplified by the ability to select measurement units between °C and °F, the screen backlighting, and the auto power-off function to extend battery life.
The compact and lightweight design (160x89x43 mm, 150 g) makes the thermometer easy to transport and handle, while power is provided by a 9V battery, with a low battery indicator to avoid sudden interruptions.
