ISO JIS B-4430 (Japanese Industrial Standard) metric thread machine tap with reinforced shank for taps up to M10 and with reduced shank for taps above M10.
Universal tap made of special steel and with high-performance multi-layer coating, ideal for tapping a wide range of workpieces made of various materials, especially steel, aluminium alloys, light metals, nickel alloys and titanium. The spiral grind simplifies chip evacuation and makes it an excellent product for blind holes. It easily achieves thread depths of 2.5 times the nominal diameter for blind holes and 3 times the nominal diameter for through holes.
