The PCE-HPT 1 is a professional single-channel instrument designed for accurate temperature measurement, data logging and analysis in technical, industrial and laboratory applications. An internal clock assigns a date and time to each recorded value. This improves measurement traceability and helps correlate temperature anomalies with specific production stages, machine start-ups, setting changes or maintenance operations. The supplied software allows the recorded data to be transferred to a computer, processed and displayed in real time. Operators can therefore analyse temperature trends, compare different test cycles and document the results for quality control, testing and process optimisation activities.

The PCE-HPT 1 also features display backlighting, battery status indication, automatic power-off, selectable °C and °F units and a Data Hold function for retaining a measured value on the display. To obtain reliable results, the sensor should be positioned correctly and provided with stable thermal contact. The operator should also allow sufficient time for the reading to reach equilibrium. During comparative tests, the sensor position, insertion depth and environmental conditions should remain consistent in order to avoid differences caused by the measuring method rather than by the monitored process.
