The Tschorn 3D Digital and Analog Edge Finder is a precision tool designed for accurate tool positioning and determination of workpiece zero points in CNC machining. Thanks to the combination of a digital and analog display, it offers maximum reliability in reading values, with a digital resolution of 0.005 mm and an analog scale with divisions of 0.01 mm.

 

The innovative LED indication system provides immediate visual feedback on the measurement status: the green light signals fine scale measurement and correct zero point detection, while the red light warns of a possible over-range measurement, preventing potential damage to the tool. This makes the edge finder extremely safe and effective, even for the most delicate operations.

 

Its use is simple and intuitive: once the edge finder is clamped into the tool holder, quick centering can be performed using the coarse analog scale, which allows easy tracking of the indicator movement. When the measurement approaches -0.250 mm, the system automatically switches to the fine scale, ensuring extreme precision. Reaching the "0" value indicates that the spindle axis is exactly aligned with the workpiece edge, ready for machining.

 

The compact and waterproof IP67 design ensures resistance to dust and liquids, making it suitable even for the most demanding production environments. The edge finder features a 12 mm shank and a Ø3 mm ceramic probe tip.
