Reamers

Reamers are tools used in metalworking shops and allow the diameter of a hole to be corrected precisely.

Morse taper reamers
Morse taper shank reamers can be used for reaming nail holes with a 1:10 taper, for morse taper reaming or machine reaming. Machine reamers are characterised by the possibility of customising the diameter of the reamer with decimal or centesimal measurements according to your requirements. The cutting edges of morse taper shank reamers MT1, MT2, MT3, MT4 and MT5 can be made of HSS, HSS-E or Futura Nano coated.

Cylindrical shank reamers
Cylindrical reamers can be used in machine reaming, automatic machine reaming and reaming for different types of holes such as blind holes, injection holes, taper pin holes.
Avaiable with internal coolant, extra long series or taper ratio 1:50, 5%, 8% or 10%. The cutting edges of cylindrical shank reamers can be made of HM, HSS or HSS-E or have Futura Nano, Alcrona-pro and LATUMA coatings.

Shell type reamers
Cylindrical shell type reamers according to DIN 219 UNI 6855 are used in machine reaming and are avaiable with HSS-E cutting edges and a taper ratio of 1:30. The reamer is available with either a full diameter or customised progression with centesimal diameters according to the type of boring to be carried out.

Coatings:
Futura Nano, a TIALN-based coating that allows cutting speeds to be increased by approximately 30%, used in severe conditions of use such as dry machining, thus allowing an increase in tool life;
Alcrona-pro, a coating based on ALCrN which allows an increase in cutting speed of about 30%, used in severe conditions such as dry machining, thus allowing an increase in tool life. Alcrona-pro is ideal for carbide tools and can be removed for regrinding;
LATUMA, a TIALN-based coating specially developed for carbide tools used in extreme working conditions, enables the machining of hardened steels even beyond 60 HRC.
