The Leeb material hardness tester for metals PCE-950 measures the hardness of 9 types of metals using the Leeb rebound method. Thanks to an impact body with a hard metal tip, the rebound velocity compared to the impact velocity determines the hardness, which can be expressed in standard measurement units such as Vickers, Rockwell, or Brinell. This compact and portable device allows for precise measurements on materials such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, and bronze.
The PCE-950 material tester is a portable instrument that measures the hardness of various metals using the Leeb rebound method. This device is capable of determining the hardness of nine different types of metal, including steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, and bronze, by projecting an impact body with a carbide tip onto the surface. The principle of operation is based on the ratio between the rebound and impact velocity, allowing hardness values to be calculated and displayed in standard units such as Vickers, Rockwell, or Brinell.
