OMCN 279/A self-locking traction clamp is a professional item for bodywork and technical maintenance, designed for pulling, straightening and restoring deformed components. Its main feature is clamping thickness 100 mm, which defines the gripping range and helps the technician select the correct clamp according to the part geometry and the area to be corrected.

The product is especially suitable for wide grip with an alternative configuration for pulling strong profiles and edges. Compared with a generic clamp, this model should be chosen when the same useful width as model 279 is required but with a different gripping geometry according to available space. This allows the pulling force to be applied more consistently with the actual deformation, improving control and reducing the risk of marking or tearing the sheet metal.

In practical use, the gripping area should be cleaned and checked before clamping. Ring, chain or hook should be oriented in the actual correction direction, avoiding sudden pulls, unsuitable side loads or misalignment that could rotate the clamp. Traction should be progressive: several controlled corrections are safer and more effective than one violent pull.

It can be used with pulling chains, hooks, pullers, hydraulic body jacks, hand pumps, pulling towers, frame benches, drilled plates and anchoring systems. In addition to car body repair, it can be useful on vans, commercial vehicles, restorations, light agricultural equipment, frames, brackets, guards and deformed metal structures, always within the tool limits. It is not suitable for lifting or suspending loads.
