PCE Instruments PCE-ATP -SWAB Reagent for sterile surfaces, for sampling wet and/or dry surfaces, pack of 100 pieces
(Incl. Tax: €392.77)
PCE-ATP SWAB sterile reagents for surfaces in a 100-piece pack, designed for sampling wet and dry surfaces and rapid ATP control. ATP means adenosine triphosphate and is an indicator of organic residues or biological contamination. Ideal for HACCP, food industry, laboratories, sanitation, quality control, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, healthcare and industrial maintenance applications.
PCE-ATP SWAB sterile reagents for surfaces are single-use swabs designed for sampling wet and dry surfaces and for rapid ATP control on the tested area. ATP means adenosine triphosphate, an energy molecule found in all living cells and biological residues. Its presence on a surface can indicate organic residues, biological contamination or possible microbial activity, making ATP testing a practical method for quickly checking cleanliness and hygiene after sanitation procedures.
ATP control is used when a rapid indication of the hygienic condition of a surface is required. After cleaning worktops, tools, machines, conveyors, tanks, benches, equipment or food-contact surfaces, the swab allows the selected area to be sampled and helps verify whether invisible biological residues remain. This enables immediate action, such as repeat cleaning, corrective sanitation or further inspection.
The PCE-ATP SWAB is suitable for wet and/or dry surfaces, which is useful in production and technical environments where operating conditions may vary. It can be used on stainless steel, plastic, glass, technical worktops, laboratory equipment, plant components and working areas. The sterile single-use format reduces the risk of cross-contamination between samples and makes the control procedure simpler, cleaner and more repeatable.
The product is used in many professional sectors: food and beverage industry, HACCP, industrial kitchens, canteens, collective catering, quality control laboratories, pharmaceutical production, cosmetics, healthcare, hospitals, professional cleaning, packaging, plant maintenance, water treatment and production lines. In all these areas, ATP control supports verification of cleaning effectiveness and helps document the hygienic condition of surfaces.
The pack contains 100 units, suitable for frequent checks, periodic monitoring and structured hygiene verification plans. The high stability of the swab at room temperature makes the product easier to manage and practical for use in laboratories, production areas or directly at the inspection point. The break-resistant structure improves safety and reliability during handling and sampling.
For reliable results, it is important to define a consistent sampling area, always use the same procedure, avoid contact between the swab and surfaces not included in the test and correctly identify the checked point. Within a quality plan, internal thresholds, control frequency, critical points and corrective actions should be defined in case of non-compliant values. ATP testing is particularly useful because it provides an immediate operational response, helping technicians and quality managers make quick decisions.
