The PCE-ATP 1-KIT3 bioluminometer is a professional ATP system for quickly checking hygiene on surfaces and liquids. It measures from 0 to 999999 RLU in 10 seconds and includes test tubes for surfaces and liquids, a 3.5" graphic LCD, memory for 10,000 records and 256 users, USB and Bluetooth interface, automatic self-diagnosis and a 3.7 V / 2300 mAh lithium battery.

The PCE-ATP 1-KIT3 bioluminometer for surfaces and liquids is a professional system designed for rapid hygiene control using ATP measurement. It is suitable for quickly checking the presence of organic residues, microorganisms or contamination on work surfaces, equipment, tools, systems, liquid samples, rinse water and process liquids. Thanks to the supplied surface and liquid test tubes, the kit allows more complete inspection than systems dedicated to only one sample type.

The measuring principle is based on ATP bioluminescence. ATP, adenosine triphosphate, is a molecule present in biological cells and organic residues. When the sample comes into contact with the reagent, the reaction produces light proportional to the amount of ATP detected. The bioluminometer measures this light and displays the result in RLU, Relative Light Units, providing a rapid indication of the contamination level of the analysed sample.

The measuring range is 0 - 999999 RLU, with background noise of ±5 RLU and a measuring time of 10 seconds. This speed allows the operator to obtain an immediate result and quickly decide whether a surface, liquid or control point complies with the internal limits set. A low RLU value generally indicates a reduced level of organic residue, while a higher value may indicate contamination, insufficient cleaning or the need to repeat sanitation.

The PCE-ATP 1-KIT3 can be used for surface checks with dedicated ATP swabs. The swab is passed over the area to be checked, such as worktops, cutting boards, conveyor belts, tools, counters, handles, containers, cold rooms, production equipment or food contact surfaces. The test tube is then activated and inserted into the measuring chamber of the instrument, which displays the RLU result after approximately 10 seconds.

The kit also allows liquid samples to be checked using specific test tubes. This function is useful for analysing washing water, rinse water after sanitation, process liquids, samples taken from tanks, pipes, systems, containers or circuits where the presence of organic matter may indicate contamination or ineffective cleaning. This allows the technician to check not only surfaces but also liquids connected to the production or hygiene process.

The bioluminometer is particularly suitable for implementing and maintaining the HACCP concept in the food industry, industrial kitchens, catering, laboratories, healthcare, pharmacies, professional cleaning companies and quality departments. It turns hygiene control from a visual assessment into a measurable, documentable and comparable check over time, supporting audits, internal procedures and non-conformity management.

The 3.5" graphic LCD provides clear reading of the measured value and simple function management. Immediate display of the result allows the operator to associate the measurement with the control point, sample type, user and company procedure. The portable structure, compact 189 x 70 x 35 mm dimensions and approximate weight of 280 g make the instrument suitable for direct use in production departments, laboratories, kitchens, healthcare areas and cleaning service sites.

The internal memory can store up to 10,000 records and manage 256 users. This capacity is very useful for companies that need to archive measurements, distinguish operators, document checks and reconstruct inspection history. Recording data with date and time links each measurement to the exact moment of inspection, making periodic analysis, quality audits, sanitation effectiveness checks and comparison between several departments or sampling points easier.

USB and Bluetooth interfaces allow data transfer to analysis software. Results can be processed, exported, compared and used to create reports. This function is particularly important for HACCP managers, internal laboratories, food companies, healthcare facilities and cleaning companies that need to provide documented evidence of hygiene checks and cleaning procedures.

The self-diagnosis function performs an automatic check before each use. This helps the operator verify that the device is ready for measurement and reduces the risk of checks being carried out with an instrument that is not properly prepared. Automatic self-calibration at each use makes the procedure simpler and more repeatable, especially when the bioluminometer is used by several operators or in multiple departments.

Power is supplied by a 3.7 V / 2300 mAh lithium battery. Operating time is approximately 10 hours, while standby time is up to 600 hours. Operating conditions are +5 - +40 °C with 20 - 80% RH, while storage conditions are -10 - +40 °C with maximum 60% RH. These features make the instrument suitable for mobile and repeated checks during the working shift.

In the food and beverage sector, the PCE-ATP 1-KIT3 can be used to check food contact surfaces, rinse water, process lines, tanks, containers, tools and production environments. In healthcare and pharmacy applications, it supports rapid checks in areas where high hygiene standards must be maintained. In professional cleaning companies, it helps document service effectiveness both on surfaces and on liquids related to washing and sanitation activities.

For reliable results, representative control points should be defined, the correct test tube for surface or liquid should always be used, sampling procedures should be followed and internal limits should be established according to environment, sample and risk level. When comparing measurements over time, sampling should be carried out in the same area or using the same method, so that consistent and comparable data are obtained.

The PCE-ATP 1-KIT3 bioluminometer is therefore a professional solution for rapid, complete and documentable hygiene control on surfaces and liquids. The combination of 10-second ATP measurement, included surface and liquid test tubes, memory for 10,000 records, user management, USB, Bluetooth, automatic self-diagnosis and portable structure makes it suitable for HACCP, quality control, food industry, healthcare, laboratories and professional cleaning.
