Roehm Manipulators

Roehm manipulators are devices used to clamp a semi-finished or finished part, holding it securely during its transfer from a pallet, robot, or custom automation system to a machine tool for processing. Upon completion of the machining process, the Roehm manipulator repeats the function by clamping the finished part from the machine tool, allowing the portal or robot to move the part and place it with the other finished pieces. Once the part is correctly positioned in its area, the manipulator releases the grip and prepares for a new loading and unloading cycle.

Key characteristics of a Roehm manipulator include the precision and clamping force of the jaws or grippers, the weight and rigidity of the manipulator, its flexibility of use, and the reliability of the manipulator over time. The types of jaws and grippers used by manipulators are numerous and come in various types and models. Starting with the simplest, such as grippers similar to those of a self-centering chuck, which are used for closing and clamping round parts with internal and external grip. These can be purchased already hardened and ground for a coaxial grip of the part with the self-centering chuck. In cases where it is necessary to create shaped grippers for a self-centering chuck due to a particular geometry of the part, semi-finished grippers can be purchased to shape and create them to design. In this operation, Tadaah is able to support the customer in the creation and design of the grippers.

To ensure reliability and repeatability of the closing force, Roehm products sold by Tadaah can be optionally assembled with special and specific seals for the closing cylinder, ensuring guaranteed closing durability and reliability up to a temperature of 150°C.
