PCE Instruments PCE-ATP LIQ-SWAB Reagent for liquids, measures both free ATP and microbial ATP, pack of 100
(Incl. Tax: €392.77)
PCE-ATP LIQ-SWAB sterile reagents for liquids in a 100-piece pack, designed for sampling water and liquids and rapid control of total, free and microbial ATP. ATP means adenosine triphosphate and is an indicator of organic residues or biological contamination. Ideal for food industry, laboratories, HACCP, water treatment, CIP systems, industrial maintenance and quality control.
PCE-ATP LIQ-SWAB sterile reagents for liquids are single-use swabs designed for sampling water and liquids and for rapid control of total ATP in the sample. ATP means adenosine triphosphate, an energy molecule found in all living cells and biological residues. Its presence in a liquid can indicate organic contamination, biological residues or possible microbial activity, making ATP testing a practical method for quickly checking cleanliness and hygiene levels.
The PCE-ATP LIQ-SWAB detects both free ATP, meaning non-microbial ATP from dissolved organic residues or non-viable biological material, and microbial ATP, associated with the presence of microorganisms. The detection of total ATP therefore provides an immediate indication of the hygienic condition of the liquid being analysed and helps operators react quickly when values are outside the limits defined by internal quality control procedures.
These reagents are used in sectors where the cleanliness of liquids, water and process circuits is essential. They are suitable for the food and beverage industry, quality control laboratories, HACCP departments, water treatment plants, pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, swimming pools, aquaculture, CIP systems, tanks, pipes, washing systems, industrial maintenance and all applications where rapid verification of biological contamination or organic residues is required.
The sterile single-use format reduces the risk of cross-contamination between samples and makes sampling simpler, cleaner and more repeatable. The 100-unit pack is suitable for frequent checks, periodic monitoring and structured hygiene verification plans. For reliable results, the swab must be handled correctly, contact with non-sterile surfaces before sampling must be avoided, the sample must be properly identified and the procedure required by the compatible ATP analysis system must be followed.
PCE-ATP LIQ-SWAB reagents for liquids are particularly useful when a rapid indication of the cleanliness status of water and liquids is required before further microbiological analysis, sanitation actions or process validation. ATP control does not necessarily replace complete microbiological analysis, but it provides an immediate operational indication of the presence of biological material, helping technicians and quality managers make quick and documented decisions.
