The PCE-428 sound level meter is an ideal measuring instrument for taking measurements in workplaces, construction sites, traffic, airports, etc. The PCE-428 sound level meter is a Class 2 device with an integrated octave band filter. Optionally, the PCE-428 sound level meter can be equipped with a third octave band filter. Results can be displayed numerically or as a graph. The sound level meter offers various frequency weightings: A, B, C, and Z. It also allows for various time weightings: Fast, Slow, Impulse, Leq. The measurement range is from 25 to 136 dBA, with a frequency range from 20 Hz to 12.5 kHz. You can set up to 3 measurement profiles. The operator can select the parameters to be measured, such as Laeq, LcPeak, LaFmax, LaFMin, etc.

The "Peak-Hold" function allows the determination of the peak value during a prolonged measurement and "freezes" it on the display. A 24 Bit AD converter and particularly developed electronics reduce the device's own noise to a very low level. The signal sampling rate of over 48 kHz ensures high accuracy and better stability of the measurement value.
