The PG-I 85 SE-S HC portable inverter generator is a high-power solution for producing stable, transportable electrical energy for professional, technical, domestic and emergency applications. Its inverter technology supplies current with a pure sine wave, an essential feature when powering devices with sensitive electronic components, PCs, measuring instruments, battery chargers, control units, control systems, professional equipment and loads that require a more stable voltage than a conventional generator normally provides.
The PG-I 85 SE-S HC model runs on petrol and provides 8 kW rated power, with a maximum output of 8.5 kW. This power reserve makes it suitable for construction sites, mobile workshops, maintenance operations, temporary installations, agricultural businesses, markets, fairs, craft activities, technical services and domestic backup applications. The output configuration allows several loads to be powered at the same time, provided that the maximum permitted load is respected and the starting absorption of connected devices is correctly assessed.
The 30 l fuel tank provides an operating time of up to 10.5 h at 50% load and approximately 6 h at 100% load, making the generator suitable for extended use and for situations where power continuity is required for several hours. The soundproofed housing helps reduce noise during operation, with an LP noise level of 77 dB(A). This is useful in working environments, outdoor operating areas, construction sites and applications where reducing noise impact is important compared with an open-frame generator.
The ECO mode continuously adjusts engine speed according to the power required by the connected load. When energy demand is lower, the engine operates at reduced speed, helping to decrease fuel consumption, mechanical wear and noise. This function is particularly useful for variable loads, lighting, intermittently used tools, electronic devices and equipment that does not require the full available power continuously.
The control panel is complete and designed for practical use. It includes a start/stop button, electric power supply, integrated AC, indicator lights for oil level and generator overload alarm, digital meter for displaying voltage, frequency and running time, thermal switch, grounding point, AC 230 V 32A socket, two AC 230 V 16A sockets, DC 12 V 8.3A socket, ATS connection, electric motor switch, ECO switch and overload protection. This equipment allows the operator to quickly check the generator status and manage connected loads in an organised way.
Manual and electric start make the PG-I 85 SE-S HC practical for frequent operation and for situations where power must be available quickly. The choke supports easy cold starting, while the AVR voltage regulator contributes to stable voltage output. The ATS connection enables integration with automatic transfer systems, useful for domestic or professional installations prepared by qualified personnel when the generator is used as backup support in the event of a mains power failure.
For correct operation, the connected load should always be calculated according to the rated power of 8 kW and not only according to the maximum output of 8.5 kW. Electric motors, compressors, pumps, tools and equipment with high starting current may require more energy during start-up than during normal operation. Before use, it is advisable to check the oil level, fuel, ventilation, grounding connection and socket condition. The generator must not be operated in closed or poorly ventilated areas. With dimensions of 765x625x700 mm and a weight of 85 kg, the trolley and handle make movement easier in workshops, construction sites and operating areas.
