The instrument also includes a slip detection mode, useful for identifying conditions where the stir bar is not correctly following the magnetic field.

The stirrer supports magnetic stir bars with minimum and maximum length from 24 to 60 mm, with a recommended length of 25 mm. Choosing the correct stir bar is essential for stable stirring: the technician must consider volume, vessel shape, liquid height and viscosity. A standard 25 mm stir bar is included in the delivery, allowing the instrument to be used quickly.

The front panel with display and control keys allows speed, timer and operating modes to be set intuitively. The key lock prevents accidental changes to the settings during operation, which is useful for long cycles, repetitive tests or when several operators work in the same laboratory. The front display allows the user to quickly check set parameters and operating status.

The PCE-MSR 450 includes RS-232 and USB interfaces, useful for technical connections and handling according to the functions provided by the device.
