Viscosity is determined by the flow rate and the time it takes for the liquid to pass through the viscometer nozzle. Stopping the time once all the liquid has flowed out is essential. After measurement, clean the viscometer thoroughly to avoid residue that could influence subsequent results. Avoid using sharp or pointed instruments to prevent scratches and abrasions.
