Electro-permanent magnetic chucks with iron-brass-resin polarity are ideal devices for grinding thin workpieces and precision machining of ferromagnetic materials. This electro-permanent technology uses permanent magnets and an electric pulse to activate the clamping, eliminating the need for continuous power supply. The iron-brass-resin polarity configuration enhances magnetic field distribution: iron conducts the magnetism, brass acts as a separator, and the resin provides additional stability. This ensures uniform clamping, reduces deformation of thin workpieces, and increases precision. The system also offers safety and low maintenance, as the clamping remains active even without electrical power. It is the specific solution for thin workpieces. Supplied without a control unit. Manufactured in compliance with CE directives.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Nominal Vertical pole force 90 N/cm2
Minimum suggested thickness 4 mm
Max performance thickness 8 mm
Minimum piece size 4x4 cm = 16 cm2
Standard power supply 380 V / 50÷60 Hz

Electro-permanent technology: It uses a combination of permanent magnets and an electrical system to activate and deactivate the magnetic field, allowing workpieces to be clamped and released without the need for continuous power supply. Once magnetized, the chuck remains active without consuming energy.

Iron-brass-resin polarity: This refers to the specific structure of the magnetic chuck, characterized by alternating strips of iron, brass, and resin. The iron conducts the magnetic field, while the brass, being non-magnetic, acts as a separator between the active magnetic areas, reducing field dispersion and improving clamping stability. The resin is inserted between the iron and brass strips to ensure a more uniform surface and further reduce vibrations and deformations, especially when machining thin workpieces. This configuration improves the magnetic field distribution, making the chuck ideal for securely holding delicate workpieces and ensuring high precision in machining.

Machining of thin workpieces: These magnetic chucks are ideal for holding thin workpieces, as they reduce workpiece deformation and ensure high stability during machining. The narrow lines of the iron-brass configuration help to distribute the magnetic field evenly, firmly holding even the thinnest workpieces without the risk of distortion or bending.

High precision: This type of chuck is designed for high-precision machining, such as grinding, where even minor vibrations or workpiece movements can affect the final result. The stability of the clamping ensures a perfectly smooth surface.

Low maintenance and safety: Unlike fully electromagnetic systems, electro-permanent chucks do not require constant power, which makes them safe in the event of a power outage. Once activated, the workpiece remains clamped until the chuck is deactivated via an electric pulse.
