Röhm HVLN Pro live centre with profiled and extended centre point, hardened and ground body and 60° tip angle. Suitable for lathes and grinding machines when working space is restricted or the workpiece centre is low-lying. The profiled geometry improves accessibility, while the three-bearing system ensures stability, high axial and radial load capacity and maximum concentricity deviation of 0.005 mm.

Live centres Roehm HVLN PRO with profiled extended centre point, morse taper shank mount MT, body hardened and ground - Tip angle 60°

Röhm HVLN Pro live centres with profiled and extended centre point are precision components designed for counter-clamping and axial support of the workpiece during turning and grinding operations. Their main feature is the combination of an extended point and a profiled geometry, developed to improve accessibility in restricted working areas, on low-lying workpiece centres, near shoulders, grooves, close profiles or surfaces that may interfere with a standard live centre.

This geometry allows the centre point to reach the workpiece centre with greater operating clearance, reducing the risk of interference between the live centre body, tool, grinding wheel, chuck, fixture or workpiece surface. The HVLN Pro is therefore particularly useful when the area between centre point and workpiece is limited and when a conventional live centre cannot provide sufficient access without obstructing the machining operation. The extended point allows work closer to complex geometries, while the dedicated profile increases the available space around the contact area.

The hardened and ground body provides rigidity, wear resistance and mounting accuracy. Hardening improves service life in continuous machining operations, while grinding ensures better geometric quality and stable fitting with the machine. The 60° tip angle is suitable for most centring and support applications on shafts, pins, bushes, cylindrical components, metal parts, turned components and precision mechanical workpieces.

The internal three-bearing system provides high stability and allows the live centre to withstand axial and radial loads during rotation. This configuration helps keep the workpiece centred, reducing vibration, deflection, runout errors and instability that could affect surface quality or dimensional repeatability. The HVLN Pro is suitable for operations where support must remain accurate even under more difficult geometric conditions than those managed by a standard live centre.

The specified maximum concentricity deviation is 0.005 mm, an important value for applications requiring workpiece axis control, stability and machining precision. Low concentricity deviation helps reduce ovality, form defects, vibration and dimensional variations, making it particularly useful in finishing and grinding operations. In turning, this live centre supports long, slender parts, workpieces with shoulders or hard-to-reach centres; in grinding, it supports smooth rotation and controlled contact even when the grinding wheel works close to the support area.

The HVLN Pro is suitable for machining steels, alloy steels, light alloys, non-ferrous materials and industrial components used in automotive, aerospace, machine building, precision engineering and turned-part production. It is used on shafts with complex geometries, pins, bushes, grooved components, workpieces with low-lying centres and cylindrical parts requiring improved accessibility without sacrificing support stability.

For technicians, maintenance operators and workshop specialists, the correct choice of live centre must consider machine size, expected load, rotational speed, tool clearance, workpiece geometry, distance between point and machined surface and required precision level. Correct selection improves process stability, reduces rejects and vibration, protects the workpiece and preserves the accuracy of the machine-fixture-component system.

Tadaah offers Röhm HVLN Pro live centres with profiled and extended point as a technical solution for professionals requiring improved workpiece accessibility in complex machining operations. The combination of extended point, profiled low-clearance geometry, hardened and ground body, 60° tip angle, three-bearing system and maximum concentricity deviation of 0.005 mm makes this series suitable for industrial machining where working clearance, stability and geometric control are essential requirements.
