The ASTURO KIL/SSP lightweight HVLP pressure-feed spray gun is designed for professional painting with low-pressure material supply through K24/K26 double diaphragm pumps or pressure pots. Suitable for bodyshops, craft work and woodworking, it handles paints, enamels, liquid shades, pastel shades, water-based coatings and double-coat materials. Its polished forged aluminium body, anodized passages, stainless steel needle and nozzle support controlled application and uniform finishing.

The ASTURO KIL/SSP lightweight HVLP pressure-feed spray gun, art. 00146, is a professional compressed-air spray gun designed for painting applications with remote material supply. The pressure-feed configuration allows the spray gun to be connected to K24 and K26 double diaphragm pumps or pressure pots, providing more continuous material delivery than systems with a cup mounted directly on the gun. This solution is particularly suitable when the operator has to work on large surfaces, repetitive cycles or applications requiring greater autonomy and spraying continuity.

The product is suitable for bodyshops, craft users and woodworking operators who need to apply single-component paints and enamels, liquid shades, pastel shades, water-based coatings, heavy enamels and double-coat materials. Actual compatibility must always be assessed according to product viscosity, chemical composition, feed pressure, nozzle configuration and required finish. Pressure feeding is useful when material must be delivered to the spray gun steadily, reducing interruptions and flow-rate variations during work.

HVLP technology, High Volume Low Pressure, uses a high air volume at low pressure to support good paint transfer efficiency. This principle helps deposit more material on the surface while reducing dispersion and overspray compared with less optimized configurations. In professional applications, this is important for both material consumption control and finish quality, especially when working on visible surfaces, coated components, panels, wooden parts, bodywork elements or industrial workpieces.

The polished forged aluminium body provides light weight and handling comfort, which are important in continuous work. The anodized aluminium fitting screw and anodized aluminium material passage contribute to the resistance of the connection areas and product paths. The stainless steel needle and nozzle are essential for delivery regularity, as they work directly in contact with the coating material and affect atomization quality, spray fan shape and finish stability.

The ASTURO KIL/SSP spray gun should be integrated into a correctly sized system including compressed-air line, regulator, filter, condensate separator, material hose, low-pressure feed system and properly prepared coating material. Compressed-air quality is essential: water, oil or impurities in the line may cause surface defects, craters, dull areas, contamination or irregularities in the applied film. Suitable air filtration and pressure regulation should therefore always be used according to the type of work.

The spray gun adjustments allow the operator to adapt spraying to the surface and material used. Material-flow adjustment controls delivery quantity, while spray-fan adjustment modifies atomization width and shape. A wider setting is useful for panels, doors, wooden components and large surfaces, while a more concentrated fan can be preferable for edges, profiles, corners, local repairs or complex-shaped parts. Adjustments should be made progressively, checking the result on a sample before final application.

To obtain a uniform finish, the gun should be kept at a constant distance from the surface, moved with regular parallel and overlapping passes, and trigger opening should be synchronized with hand movement. Too short a distance can cause build-up and runs, while excessive distance can increase material dispersion and reduce coverage. Travel speed also affects the result: moving too slowly may create uneven thickness, while moving too quickly may leave light or poorly covered areas.

This spray gun is not a measuring instrument and does not detect dimensions, heights, transmission play or geometric form errors. Its precision is application-related and concerns the ability to deposit material in a controlled, uniform and repeatable way. In painting, “precision” depends on feed stability, air adjustment, nozzle selection, material viscosity, product pressure and operator technique.

Before use, the product should be filtered, its viscosity checked and compatibility with the spray gun and feeding system verified. Unfiltered or poorly prepared materials can affect internal passages, alter the spray fan, cause specks or clogging and reduce finishing quality. With water-based coatings, double-coat materials and heavy enamels, it is especially important to follow the manufacturer’s technical instructions for dilution, pressure and application times.

After each use, the spray gun must be cleaned with a detergent compatible with the material applied. Needle, nozzle, internal passages, fittings and feed area must be thoroughly washed to prevent dried residues, deposits or changes in the spray fan shape. For continuous professional use, seals, fittings, nozzle, needle, material passage and adjustment components should be inspected periodically in order to maintain constant spraying quality and reduce downtime.

The ASTURO KIL/SSP lightweight HVLP pressure-feed spray gun art. 00146 is therefore suitable for professionals looking for a manageable, efficient spray gun that can be integrated into systems with a double diaphragm pump or pressure pot. The combination of HVLP technology, polished forged aluminium body, anodized passages, stainless steel needle and nozzle and low-pressure feeding supports controlled applications, good spray fan uniformity and professional finishes on wood, bodywork and technical surfaces.
