The "Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge" is designed to measure the thickness of metal and non-metal surfaces such as aluminum, titanium, plastic, ceramic, glass, and other materials that are good conductors of ultrasonic waves. It can be used in industrial applications for precision measurements on various types of components, materials, and to monitor the variation in thickness of pipes and other products due to corrosion and/or wear. The ultrasonic wave pulses are transmitted by the probe, reach the object to be measured, propagate within it until they reach its interface, and are then retransmitted to the point of origin. The thickness is determined by the time it takes for the waves to traverse the object.
