ROEHM Manual 3-jaw geared scroll chucks Model DURO-M, Base and reversible top jaws, cylindrical shank DIN 6350 for rear fitting- Self-centering outside diameter at choice
(Incl. Tax: €773.05)
DURO-M is a manually operated self-centring chuck with a flat helix and a through-hole. It is mainly used on conventional lathes to enable the machining of workpieces using a chip removal process. The spindle body of DURO-M is made of steel and designed for optimum accessibility. At the same time, it has a low weight and inertia level. An edge is incorporated on its circumference to expel coolant. Version with cylindrical mounting DIN 6350 Adapter recess, From A for rear fitting. Images shown are indicative and not proportional.

The Röhm DURO-M chuck is a manually operated self-centering device, engineered to ensure precision, efficiency, and durability in metalworking applications.
Manufactured entirely from steel with a one-piece body design, it offers a rigid and robust structure, ideal for turning, milling, and measuring operations on conventional machine tools, rotary tables, and machining centers.
One of its distinguishing features is the inclusion of machined flat surfaces, specifically designed to reduce overall weight without compromising strength. This lightweight construction improves dynamic inertia, enabling faster acceleration, reduced energy consumption, and less strain on the spindle bearings. The removal of excess material also enhances tool accessibility, simplifying installation and maintenance procedures.
A drip edge is integrated along the outer circumference of the chuck, providing controlled drainage of coolant and improving fluid management during machining. At the rear, a reference collar allows concentricity checks using a dial indicator, ensuring precise alignment.
The flat spiral is the core of the system, designed to deliver clamping torque to the jaws with greater efficiency compared to conventional chucks. With optimized toothing, hardened and ground surfaces on both sides, and advanced heat treatment processes, Röhm ensures highly sensitive and accurate force transmission with minimal effort required to reach full clamping pressure. This technology also enables a more compact design, reducing the overall footprint within the machine work area.
Manufactured entirely in Germany using CNC technology and controlled hardening processes, the DURO-M combines high quality and reliability with an excellent price-performance ratio. Optional mounting flanges further extend its versatility, allowing for secure clamping of non-rotating symmetrical workpieces in milling and measuring applications.
