Lathe and grinding chucks – ZS Hi-Tru with fine adjustment

The Röhm ZS Hi-Tru self-centering chuck is designed for turning, grinding, and machining center applications where maximum concentricity of the workpiece is essential. Its steel construction and three tangentially arranged adjustment screws allow for precise alignment of the workpiece with the axis of rotation—without the need to loosen the mounting screws.

Once mounted on the machine tool—compatible with DIN 6350 standards and featuring a central cylindrical mount, type A—the workpiece can be clamped using one of the two supplied sets of jaws: stepped outside jaws and stepped inside jaws. After clamping, the operator can fine-tune the concentricity using the adjustment screws, achieving an adjustment accuracy within 0.005 mm and repeatability of 0.015 mm. The jaws are ground to ensure maximum precision during machining. The adjustment screws, their contact surfaces, and the spiral ring are all hardened to ensure durability and reliability even under intensive use.
