The photovoltaic meter is a useful tool to examine solar cells for their characteristics. With a DC voltage range of 0… 60V and a DC current range of 0… 12 A, the solar measuring device covers a large number of solar modules. The determined characteristic curves are saved directly on the solar module tester. Up to 100 measurements can be stored in the data memory of the solar measuring device. The stored measured values ​​can then be read out and further processed on a PC with the associated software. In addition, it is possible to operate the photovoltaic meter completely via the software.
The photovoltaic meter is equipped with two measurement modes to determine the characteristic curve of a solar module. In automatic mode, the characteristic curve is generated with the automatic parameters of the solarimeter. This allows the user to get an idea of the condition of the solar module. In manual mode, the initial current value and the final current value can be set. If the surface area of the solar module and the power of radiation intensity in W/m² have also been entered, the solar energy meter will be able to calculate the efficiency and the fill factor of the cell. Another additional function of the photovoltaic energy meter is single-point measurement. In this case, the device can monitor and control a specific current.

The display of the solar energy meter is 4.8". This allows the characteristic curve and the measurement values to be displayed simultaneously. To better analyze the characteristic curve, each individual measurement point can be checked. To get a difference in X and Y, a button on the instrument can be pressed to switch between current, voltage, and power.

Thanks to its various functions, the photovoltaic energy meter is the ideal tool for checking the efficiency of solar modules. For this reason, the photovoltaic meter is used in photovoltaic systems and research institutes for the development of solar modules.
 
As an option, ISO certification can be requested for this solarimeter.
