The PCE-LDC 8 is an ultrasonic leak detector designed for use in compressed air networks. Operating at a frequency of 40 kHz, it effectively locates air leaks as well as refrigerant and non-explosive gases. This device is essential for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs by identifying leaks in various systems. Its intuitive design allows for straightforward operation, making it suitable for both professional and industrial applications.
This ultrasonic leak detector is designed to accurately locate leaks in compressed air systems, refrigerant gas pipelines, or gas ducts. Equipped with a 40 kHz ultrasonic sensor, it detects the typical frequency emitted by leaks, which usually ranges between 20 and 80 kHz. A built-in high-pass filter eliminates noise below 40 kHz, improving detection efficiency, while an amplifier makes high-frequency tones audible through the included noise-isolating headphones.

In addition to acoustic feedback, the device displays ultrasonic signal intensity on an integrated screen. The sensor features a laser pointer for precise targeting of pipes or pressurized vessels and can be fitted with an optional tube for even more accurate detection. Depending on operating pressure, leaks can be identified from distances of up to 18 meters.
Powered by a rechargeable battery with up to 6 hours of runtime, the detector is built for durability and comes in a rugged case with all necessary accessories. Its ergonomic design and ease of use make it a reliable tool for industrial maintenance and inspection tasks.
