Identification is facilitated by pictograms, showing working positions and load factors, and by the color of the webbing, which follows international coding to indicate maximum load—for example, orange is reserved for capacities above 10 tons.

For 100% textile slings, the standard requires a minimum safety factor of 7. This means that the breaking load must be at least seven times higher than the rated working load. For example, if a sling has a working load limit of 1,000 kg, it must not break below 7,000 kg. This margin ensures a high level of safety even in the presence of wear, temperature changes, humidity, or minor accidental impacts. For slings with metal fittings, on the other hand, the minimum required safety factor is 5. In this case, the breaking load must be at least five times the working load. The lower factor is justified by the greater strength and stability of the metal components, which provide a higher level of structural safety.

The label sewn on each sling contains essential information, including manufacturer data, item code, unique serial number and traceability code, length, material, production date, European standard reference, manufacturer name or logo, safety factors, and a table to record the first use date for periodic inspections. Thanks to the metal loop, the slings provide a stable and versatile connection to lifting hooks, allowing flexible and safe configurations during operations. Proper use, regular maintenance, and periodic inspection ensure efficiency, long service life, and consistent reliability, making these slings indispensable tools for professionals, technicians, and specialized workers in industrial lifting contexts.
