Replacement straps for lifting slings comply with European standards EN 1492-1 and EN 1492-2, ensuring safety and reliability for lifting heavy loads. The CMU defines the maximum vertical working load, with minimum safety factors of 7 for textile and 5 for metal fittings. The strap color identifies the load capacity, with orange used for over 10 tons. Made of high-tenacity polyester (100% PES) and certified ISO 9001:2015, these straps provide strength, durability, and safety for industrial, construction, logistics, and port applications.

Replacement straps for lifting slings are designed and manufactured in full compliance with European standards EN 1492-1 and EN 1492-2, for flat slings and tubular harnesses, respectively. These standards define the fields of application, technical characteristics, testing methods, and certification requirements, ensuring that the product meets the essential requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, thus allowing the “CE” conformity mark.

Technical Data:

The operation of the strap is based on its ability to withstand vertical loads, indicated by the CMU (Working Load Limit, or WLL/SWL). The pictograms on the label show the different usage systems and the corresponding load coefficients. For 100% textile slings, the standard requires a minimum safety factor of 7. This means that the breaking load must be at least seven times higher than the rated working load. For example, if a sling has a working load limit of 1,000 kg, it must not break below 7,000 kg. This margin ensures a high level of safety even in the presence of wear, temperature changes, humidity, or minor accidental impacts. For slings with metal fittings, on the other hand, the minimum required safety factor is 5. In this case, the breaking load must be at least five times the working load. The lower factor is justified by the greater strength and stability of the metal components, which provide a higher level of structural safety.

The color of the strap indicates the vertical load capacity according to the identification table included in EN 1492. In particular, orange always indicates a capacity over 10 tons. The sewn label provides complete product information, including manufacturer details, item code, pictograms with working positions and load coefficients, serial number, maximum vertical load, length, production date, reference standard, strap material (polyester, polyamide, or polypropylene), safety factor, and a table to record the first use date and periodic inspections.

These straps, made of high-tenacity polyester (100% PES) certified ISO 9001:2015, guarantee strength, reliability, and durability over time. They are used across multiple industrial sectors, including lifting and handling of heavy loads, construction, logistics, ports, and other professional operations, ensuring safety and consistent performance in demanding work environments.
