The left-hand SCRCL ISO cartridges are designed for internal turning, boring, finishing and semi-finishing operations on CNC lathes, conventional lathes and modular tooling systems. The left-hand geometry with C angle= 75° allows internal diameters, cylindrical surfaces, profiles, internal passes and areas with controlled accessibility to be machined while maintaining cutting stability, dimensional accuracy and reliable surface finish. The insert seat is designed for CCMT insert families and ensures defined, repeatable cutting-edge positioning, making insert replacement easier and reducing machine downtime.

The SCRCL configuration is suitable when feed direction, turret layout or workpiece geometry require a left-hand cartridge with a more open approach angle than 95° or 90° versions. The C angle= 75° helps improve tool accessibility in internal machining, control tool entry into the cut and reduce possible interference with walls, shoulders, bottoms or internal component geometries. Compared with right-hand SCRCR versions, SCRCL cartridges work with opposite orientation and allow mirrored operations or reverse internal feed directions while maintaining the same compatibility with CCMT inserts.

Thanks to their positive geometry, CCMT inserts provide smooth and relatively light cutting action, helping reduce machining forces and improve surface quality on steels, stainless steels, cast irons and non-ferrous alloys, depending on the selected grade and chipbreaker. For reliable performance, rigid clamping should be used, tool overhang should be kept short, insert tightening should be checked and alignment with the workpiece axis should be verified. Incorrect mounting or excessive overhang can generate vibration, deflection, irregular insert wear, loss of geometric accuracy and poor surface finish.
