The ER25 sealed clamping collets according to DIN ISO 15488 (DIN 6499) are designed for high-precision tool clamping in machining operations requiring high-pressure internal coolant supply.
These collets, known as Solid Sealed Collets (SSC), feature a mechanical sealing system that prevents coolant leakage between the tool shank and the collet. This design allows the use of high-pressure coolant systems up to 120 bar, enabling efficient cooling directly at the cutting edge.
The coolant flows through the internal lubrication channels of the cutting tool, reaching the cutting zone where it provides effective cooling and assists chip evacuation during machining processes.
