This feature is particularly beneficial when machining tough materials or when operating at high production speeds.

The tap is clamped directly on the nominal shank diameter with tolerance h8, ensuring optimal torque transmission and maintaining precise concentricity between the tool holder and the tap. The clamping range of the ERC25MRF series covers diameters from 4 mm to 12 mm, allowing the use of taps from M4 to M16, compatible with DIN 371, DIN 374 and DIN 376 standards. These collets are designed for rigid synchronized tapping and therefore do not provide axial compensation, relying instead on the machine’s CNC synchronization control.

From an operational perspective, the collets must be installed exclusively using ER nuts with eccentric extraction, which ensure correct mounting and safe removal of the collet while maintaining the reliability of the clamping system. The ER system also offers high modularity, allowing the same collet to be used with a wide range of ER25 tool holders across different machining setups.
