The ER16 clamping collet, manufactured according to DIN ISO 15488 (DIN 6499), is designed for high-precision CNC machining with tools equipped with internal coolant supply. Integrated coolant channels along the bore allow direct coolant flow to the cutting edge, improving cooling efficiency and chip evacuation. The mechanical sealing system supports coolant pressures up to 120 bar while maintaining runout accuracy ≤0.008 mm. With a clamping range of Ø 3–10 mm, it ensures high rigidity, stability and reliable tool holding in demanding industrial applications.

The ER16 clamping collet is a high-precision tooling component designed for demanding machining applications on CNC machines, machining centers and automatic lathes. Manufactured according to DIN ISO 15488 (DIN 6499) standards, it provides excellent concentricity, high clamping rigidity and efficient coolant management during cutting operations.

This collet features an integrated mechanical sealing system combined with internal coolant channels running along the bore, allowing coolant to flow directly through the collet and reach the cutting tool. This design significantly improves heat dissipation at the cutting zone, reduces tool wear and enhances process stability during high-speed machining operations.

The ERC16SJ series is specifically designed for tools equipped with internal coolant supply. The coolant travels through the channels inside the collet and is delivered directly to the cutting edge, optimizing lubrication and chip evacuation during machining.

Sealing performance is ensured by the geometry of the short clamping slots, which maintain tight contact with the tool shank and preserve coolant pressure even under demanding operating conditions.

These collets support coolant pressures up to 120 bar, making them particularly suitable for intensive machining operations such as deep drilling, high-performance milling and precision machining of difficult materials.

The average runout accuracy below 0.008 mm ensures excellent rotational stability, improved surface finish and consistent dimensional accuracy during machining operations.

The available clamping range covers tool diameters from 3 mm to 10 mm with a clamping collapse of 0.1 mm, ensuring secure and uniform clamping along the full tool shank contact surface.

To guarantee proper coolant sealing, tools must have a shank diameter matching the nominal collet diameter and must be inserted along the entire clamping length.

ERC16SJ collets can only be used with ER nuts equipped with an eccentric extraction system, ensuring proper mounting and safe removal of the collet from the nut.

Thanks to the combination of precision geometry, internal coolant management and high clamping rigidity, these collets are ideal for high-performance machining applications in automotive, aerospace, precision engineering, mold manufacturing and advanced CNC production environments.
