5C round collets are high-precision clamping systems designed for external gripping of cylindrical bars and components on conventional lathes, CNC machines, and automatic bar-fed equipment. Their operating principle is based on controlled elastic deformation: the collet is seated in a tapered spindle interface and pulled axially by a threaded drawbar, causing uniform closure of the segments around the workpiece. This mechanism ensures even force distribution along the entire circumference, preventing stress concentration and maintaining high stability during machining.

From an operational standpoint, 5C round collets are particularly suitable for precision turning, grinding, and finishing operations where concentricity and dimensional repeatability are critical.
