The CR3 (PVD) coated RM solid carbide end mill is primarily designed for roughing operations and high volume machining. These end mills with different numbers of cutting edges, which are designed according to the diameter of the cutter, are innovative and high-performance, providing high metal removal rates in grooving, shouldering and helical plunge hole operations. They do not require high cutting forces and due to a special sharpening of the chamfer and cutting edges, they are wear resistant, chip breaking, have a long tool life and are particularly suitable for machining difficult, abrasive and hardened materials up to 56 HRC, with a high chip removal rate.

Coated carbide grade CR3: a new generation of PVD coatings for high performance cutting applications. An ultra-fine carbide grade with high hardness and toughness, providing high cutting edge stability and water resistance.

The RM solid carbide end mill with CR3 (PVD) coating is a cutting tool engineered for precision in roughing operations and high-volume machining, especially suitable for challenging and abrasive materials. This tool is available in various diameters and configurations with different numbers of cutting edges, tailored to meet specific operational requirements and maximize performance.

One of the standout features of these end mills is their ability to achieve high metal removal rates, which makes them ideal for applications like grooving, shouldering, and helical plunge hole operations. They are designed to operate efficiently at high speeds without requiring excessive cutting forces. This is made possible by the innovative design and special sharpening of both the chamfer and the cutting edges, which minimizes the energy needed during machining. Consequently, users benefit from a more efficient production process, leading to increased tool longevity and reduced overall production costs.

The CR3 carbide grade represents a significant advancement in PVD coating technology, specifically aimed at enhancing performance in cutting applications. The ultra-fine carbide composition ensures high levels of hardness and toughness, which translates into superior stability of the cutting edges and excellent resistance to wear. This makes the RM solid carbide end mill particularly adept at machining hardened materials with hardness levels up to 56 HRC.

The technical specifications of the RM solid carbide end mill with CR3 (PVD) coating can be summarized as follows:

Feature Description
Material Solid carbide with CR3 PVD coating
Application Roughing operations and high volume machining
Material Suitability Difficult, abrasive, and hardened materials up to 56 HRC
Cutting Edges Various configurations based on diameter
