ISO metric fine MF-DIN13 taps with reinforced shank DIN371 up to M10, with reduced shank DIN 374 for taps over M10.
Universal tap made of special steel and with high-performance multi-layer coating, ideal for tapping a wide range of workpieces made of various materials, especially steel, aluminium alloys, light metals, nickel alloys and titanium. The spiral grind simplifies chip evacuation and makes it an excellent product for blind holes. It easily achieves thread depths of 2.5 times the nominal diameter for blind holes and 3 times the nominal diameter for through holes.
The material is manufactured in tolerance 6HX to enable the production of G6-tolerant parts that require subsequent heat or chemical treatment, e.g. electroplating, chrome plating, etc.
